The Education department releases the Grade 11 Selections for 2025 to 2026 academic year. The system automatically allocates to schools based on merit and the number of spaces available in schools. High-performing students are also considered for placement in the School of Excellence (SOE).
Placement in a school of excellence is highly competitive. These institutions aim to groom top-performing students for Tertiary study in science, Technology and Leadership fields. Selection is based on merit ranking, space availability and top-tier academic results.
PNG Grade 11 Placements Eligibility Criteria:
All the PNG grade 10 students to qualify for grade 11 selections must meet the following requirements
- Sit the national Grade 10 Examinations
- Complete Grade 10 at a registered school.
- Obtain results that meet the required cut-off levels set by the Department of Education.
- Submit school choices through the official selection process.
