Ethiopia Remedial Exam (Grade 12) Placement Results 2018 EC/ 2025. According to the minister of Higher education Quality and appropriation improvement desk head (Dr) Edosa Terfasa the Remedial grade 12 placement being conducted at 64 Exam centers prepared by 41 Universities. The Ethiopian Remedial Exam 2017 successfully conducted from May 25 to May 29, 2025 but due to Ei ul Adha holiday, the exam that will give on Friday May 29 will be moved to Saturday May 30, 2017, E.C. Dr. Edosa has been transferred. The Remedial Exam conducted in Online mode. Students who have finished their የሬሜዲያል ውጤት 2017 can be able to view their result in July 2025.
Remedial Entry Point Announced by the Ministry of Education Ethiopia. Students who scored less than 49.5% in the fields of Natural and Social Sciences in 2018 Academic year but who meet those listed below are benfited from Remedial Program.
- In all Option (Private and Government Institutions) students tested to follow the Remedial program 33% of the type of Education is deducted from one hundred or more.
- As Stated above in turn number 1, students who attend Remedial program in government institutions will only meet the Cut Off point.

Addis Ababa University Coordinators of the exam centers Dr. Dessie Ndaw, Mrs. Mekdes Tamiru and Mr. Seid Mohammed have said that 3,528 students from 25 private higher education institutions are taken the in 7 Natural and Social Science Fields. Therefore, a student has to score a minimum 30% points in the Remedial Exam to follow Higher education in Ethiopia.

The Remedial Program would also give students with relatively good scores the chance to Improve their results and pursue their Undergraduate Studies. The One time only program was introduced after a majority of grade 12 students performed poorly in the 2002 Ethiopian University entrance exam. Others with relatively better scores are also given a lifeline to enter Public Universities based on the slots available.
The Ministry further announces cut points for regular students from emerging regional states. These cut points play vital to enter public or private Universities through the program.
